Karolina Nixon
professional student-athlete…literally
Karolina Nixon is a Team USA fencer and philosophy graduate student from Los Angeles, California.
She is currently a Barry Scholar at the University of Oxford, where she researches ancient Greek philosophy and competes as part of the Oxford University Fencing Club. Karolina graduated from Columbia University with degrees in philosophy (with departmental honors) and economics, where she also co-captained the Columbia Fencing Team. Her college fencing career highlights include winning NCAA Team Championships and Ivy League Team Championships (twice). At Oxford, she's received two Colour Awards (Blues), and won this year's Halstead Cup.
Karolina will return to New York City starting January to train for the 2028 Olympic Games.
